Near Space Corporation has been using the Tillamook UAS Test Range for more than 20 years to conduct flight tests of space and unmanned technologies within the non-restricted airspace of the National Airspace System. Their modern custom-built flight test facilities are approximately 60 mi west of Portland on the Oregon Coast.

A unique high-altitude COA supports UAS flight operations from the surface to 130,000 feet. The COA’s associated airspace, the highest altitude for non-military flight testing in North America, includes more than 6,000 square nautical miles within Class A airspace and below, and more than 20,000 square nautical miles of airspace above.

Range and customer operations are supported by onsite flight test support team: engineers, technicians, pilots, observers, and Range Safety personnel. The established infrastructure allows for a flexible and scalable UAS test program, designed to meet customers’ needs and timeline.
